Shots (numbered in order)
1. Shot 5a
Easily my favorite thing I did for this short!
This is moments before Shrewbert, our protagonist, snaps. I hoped to capture a dramatic shift in tone, from lighthearted comedy, to a momentarily serious smackdown! (I like it so much I have it playing here agian...)
2. Shot 5D
The final straw for our dear shrew...
3. Shot 7A
Our brave protagonist has finally made it to Grandshrew's house!! What a long and arduous journey for our little friend- certainly not made any easier by that nasty troll.
4. Shot 7B
Grandshrew is just tidying up when she hears a knock at the door from whom? Why, none other than her favorite (and only...) grandshrew! And it seems they brought pie! Gee, I sure do hope it didn't get mangled along the way...
Character
Shrewburt (Designed by Ayaka Quesen) is the goofiest little goober.
Layouts
I am normally a 2D artist, so going back to 3D for this project was pretty neat! I love playing around with camera placement in my boards, so it was really gratifying getting to translate my friends' visions for the camera into our 3D set. (Assets made by classmates in CAR401)
Lastly...
Because this project was for a class, we, as a class, came up with several other film ideas/pitches to present to our team.
My friend, Sira Sesso (Elsira) came up with another super cool project you can find out more about here: https://elsira.me/boards under the title: SPEAK!
I did some character expressions sheets for her pitch, and because it was a part of this same class, I'm including it here!
